Privacy Policy

AISyncPro ("we", "our", "us") operates the AISyncPro Chrome extension and the website at aisyncpro.app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign in with email, Google, or Microsoft, we receive your email address and public profile (name, avatar). This is stored securely in our Supabase database.
Usage data. We track aggregate counts of feature usage (DOCX exports, AI tags) per calendar month to enforce free-tier limits. We do not log the content of your notes or exported documents.
Waitlist data. If you submit your email via our waitlist form, we store your email address and the referrer URL (e.g., which site sent you) for the purpose of contacting you when the product launches.
Extension storage. The extension stores your auth session, cached notebook list, capture queue, and prompts locally in chrome.storage.local on your device. This data never leaves your browser except to communicate with Supabase and NotebookLM APIs.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and maintain your session across browser restarts.
- To enforce free-tier usage limits (exports and AI tags per month).
- To detect and automatically apply the student plan for verified academic email addresses.
- To send you early-access and product launch notifications (waitlist only).
- To provide customer support when you contact us.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following sub-processors that are essential to the service:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting (EU data centre option available).
- Google — OAuth login and Google Drive sync (only if you explicitly grant Drive access).
- Microsoft Azure — Microsoft OAuth login and AI inference (Azure OpenAI).
- Cloudflare — CDN and hosting for aisyncpro.app.
4. Cookies and Tracking
The aisyncpro.app website does not use third-party analytics cookies or advertising trackers. We use only a Supabase session cookie required for authentication on the website.
The Chrome extension does not set cookies; it uses chrome.storage.local exclusively.
5. Data Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@aisyncpro.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
6. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest via Supabase) and row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data. Auth tokens are stored in chrome.storage.local and are never exposed to web page JavaScript.
7. Children's Privacy
AISyncPro is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us to have it removed.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@aisyncpro.app.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify waitlist subscribers of material changes by email. Continued use of the extension or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
